KEEP GOING!

There’s no skill in easy sailing
When the skies are clear and blue.
There’s no joy in merely doing
Things that anyone can do.
But there is great satisfaction,
That is mighty sweet to take
When you reach a destination
That you said you couldn’t make.

THERE’S ALWAYS SOMETHING LEFT

When the world has crashed about your feet,
And the skies are sombre grey,
When you fell that life is over
And there’s nothing left to say,
Turn your eyes toward the Master
HE will always see you through,
HE will open up new vistas,
That HE’s keeping—just for you.
When your soul is most despondent
And all of you are bereft
That’s the time to trust the Master,
For there’s always something left.

PRESS ONWARD

Keep a brave spirit, and never despair;
HOPE brings you messages
through the keen air-
Good is victorious-GOD everywhere.

Grand are the battles
which you have to fight,
Be not downhearted, but valiant for right;
HOPE and press forward,
your face to the light.

CONSOLATION

There is never a day so dreary
But GOD can make it bright,
And unto the soul that trust Him,
He gives songs in the night.
There is never a path so hidden,
But GOD can lead the way,
If we seek for the Spirit’s guidance
And patiently wait and pray.

There is never a cross so heavy
But he nail-scarred hands are there
Outstretched in tender compassion
The burden to help us bear.
There is never a heart so broken,
But the loving LORD can heal,
The heart that was preached on CALVARY
Doth still for HIS loved ones feel.

There is never a life so darkened,
So hopeless and unblessed,
But may be filled with a light of GOD
And enter HIS promise rest.
There is never a sin or sorrow,
There is never a care of loss,
But that we may bring to JESUS
And leave at the foot of the cross.
